Umrah packages from Karachi
The short answer. Karachi is the easiest city in Pakistan to leave for Umrah: the most flight choice, the most departures and the most agencies. The last of those is the catch. More choice also means more people selling packages they cannot deliver, so in Karachi the verification matters more than anywhere else, not less. Our office is in Saddar and you are welcome to walk in.

What the departure city actually changes
Three things, and only three:
The airfare. The largest single line in most packages, and the one that moves with the season and the route rather than with the agency.
The flight pattern. Direct, or through another city. From Karachi there is usually more direct choice than from anywhere else in the country.
Where the paperwork happens. In your own city, in person, which is the smallest of the three but the one people worry about most.
Everything else in the package is identical wherever you start. The visa, the hotels, the distance from the Haram, the room you share, the transport between Makkah and Madinah. That is where your money goes, and none of it changes because the plane left from Karachi.

The Karachi problem nobody mentions
Karachi has more Umrah agencies than any other city, and most of them are honest. The few that are not rely on exactly the same thing: that you will not check a licence because the office looked fine and the man was pleasant.
Check it anyway. It takes ten minutes: how to verify an Umrah travel agency, and the specific tricks are in how to avoid Umrah scams.
The single rule that protects you most: pay the registered company, against a receipt, never a personal account. Everything else is detail.
Walk in, if you like
We are in Saddar. Many families prefer to sit down once, see who they are dealing with, and ask the awkward questions face to face. That is a reasonable way to choose an agency and we would rather you did it than not.
The address, the hours and the map are on the contact page.
If you cannot come in, nothing is lost. Everything after the first conversation is handled remotely anyway.
What to ask, in one message
- Which hotel in Makkah, by name, and how many minutes to the Haram?
- How many share the room at this price?
- Is the flight direct?
- How many nights in Makkah and how many in Madinah?
- What is not included?
- What are the cancellation terms?
The reasoning behind each is in what is included in an Umrah package and choosing a hotel near the Haram.
Before you book anything
Three things, in this order, before you speak to any agency:
- Check every traveller's passport expiry.
- Start the vaccination that has a waiting period, because it is the one
that decides whether your dates are possible at all.
Umrah health and vaccination requirements.
- Make the spelling of each name agree across passport, CNIC and NADRA.
Fixing a name afterwards costs money. Fixing it first costs nothing.
If your dates are flexible
Moving the trip by a few weeks buys more than increasing the budget does. The same money puts you markedly closer to the Haram in a quiet month than in Ramadan or the school holidays.
December and winter Umrah, Ramadan Umrah packages and how far in advance should I book.
First Umrah
If this is the first time, read the Umrah guide for first time pilgrims and the preparation checklist. They are written for somebody who has never done any of this, because most people booking from Karachi this year have not.
Ask us
Send us your dates and who is travelling, with ages, and we will tell you what we have, what it includes, what it does not, and whether a different week would serve you better. Our departures are on the Umrah packages page and we are in Saddar if you would rather come in.
