Booking Umrah from Pakistan: a step by step guide
The short answer. Ten steps. Passport and vaccination first, then the month, then verify the agency, then ask for the hotel by name and the excluded list in writing, then pay the registered company against a receipt. Nothing should move before step four, and no money before step seven.

This is the booking, not the journey. For the journey, start with Umrah from Pakistan: a complete guide.
Before you contact anybody
Step 1. Check the passport expiry. Today, for everybody travelling. A renewal in a hurry is the commonest reason a file stalls.
Step 2. Start the vaccination with the waiting period. One of the two mandatory vaccinations cannot be done at the last minute and no agency can shorten it. Start it before you choose dates, not after.
Step 3. Compare passport, CNIC and NADRA. The name must be spelled the same way on all three, for every traveller. A difference will stop the file.
Choosing when and who
Step 4. Pick your month knowing what it means. Ramadan is the most crowded and most expensive; school holidays are busy; a quiet month gets you a closer hotel for the same money. If your dates are flexible at all, that flexibility is worth more than any discount.
Step 5. Verify the agency before anything else. The registered company name, the bank account in that name, the Department of Tourist Services registration, and a straight answer on who lodges the visa, because a Pakistani passport holder cannot file it alone. The steps take ten minutes and are in how to verify an Umrah travel agency.
Settling the package
Step 6. Ask, and get the answers in a written message you keep.
- The hotel in Makkah, by name, and the walk in minutes at night.
- The hotel in Madinah, and how many nights.
- Which room the price is for. Two sharing and five sharing are different
numbers in the same hotel.
- Meals, which ones.
- Airport transfers, both ends.
- Makkah to Madinah, included and by what means.
- Ziyarat, and transport to it.
- What is excluded, in writing. This one request settles most of the others.
- Cancellation terms, in writing.
Tell them at this point about ages, mobility and small children, because it changes which package is right and nothing can be changed later.
Paying
Step 7. Pay the registered company, against a receipt. In the company's registered name, never a personal account, never a wallet in somebody's name. This single rule prevents most of what goes wrong.
Step 8. Keep everything. The written package, the receipts, the transfer references, the licence or registration numbers they gave you. One folder, or one chat you do not delete.
After the booking
Step 9. What should arrive: confirmation of the booking, the visa progress, the flight details, and the hotel confirmations. Ask when each is expected rather than waiting and wondering. If the visa has not been lodged a reasonable time before travel, ask directly: has it been lodged, and by whom?
Step 10. Prepare. The list in order is the Umrah preparation checklist, and what goes in the bag is in what to pack for Umrah.
The three places bookings go wrong
Money moved before anything was written down. Almost every bad outcome starts here.
"The hotel will be confirmed later." Sometimes genuine, often not. Ask for a name and a date by which it will be confirmed, in writing.
Nobody asked who files the visa. The agency either does it or hands your file to somebody who does. Both are fine. Not knowing is not.
The full patterns are in how to avoid Umrah scams.
Booking from another city, or from abroad
Entirely normal and we do it every season. Ask for a video call from inside the office, get everything in writing, and pay only the registered company account. That gives a remote booking the same protections as a counter booking.
