How to register for Hajj from Pakistan
The short answer. There are two routes and you enter them in different places. The government scheme is applied for yourself, through the Pak Hajj app and the Ministry's website, with Habib Bank as the sole receiving bank. The private scheme is entered by registering with a licensed Hajj Group Organiser, who files the group. Before either, fix your passport and start the vaccination that has a waiting period.

Registration is where most of the confusion sits, because people describe both routes as "applying for Hajj" when they are quite different processes with different paperwork and different people responsible for you.
Before you register for anything
Two items have a clock on them and neither can be hurried:
- Check the passport expiry today. A renewal in a hurry is the most common
reason a file stalls.
- Start the vaccination with the waiting period. It cannot be shortened by
anybody.
And one that costs nothing: compare your passport, CNIC and NADRA records and make sure the name is spelled identically on all three. A difference will stop a file and is tedious to fix mid-season. The full list is in Hajj documents required.
Route one: the government scheme
You apply yourself.
- Applications are made through the Pak Hajj app and the Ministry's website.
- Habib Bank is the sole receiving bank, in place of the sixteen banks used in
earlier years. This is the single biggest change to the process in recent years
and the thing most people get wrong on a first attempt.
- Applications for 2027 opened on 18 August 2026, moved by a day from the
seventeenth.
- There is no closing date. The scheme fills and then closes, so early is the
only strategy.
The current rules, forms and any change to them are on the Ministry of Religious Affairs portal, which is the source rather than any travel agency's website, including ours.
Route two: the private scheme
You do not apply to the Ministry yourself. You register with a Hajj Group Organiser licensed by the Ministry, and the organiser files the group.
The steps:
- Choose an organiser and verify it before any money moves. The licence and
the HOAP membership number, checked rather than taken. Ten minutes, and the
steps are in
how to verify a Hajj travel agency.
- Ask the real questions before choosing a package: the Mina category, the
hotel by name and its distance, the room, the exclusions, the cancellation
terms.
- Hand over the documents the organiser asks for, and keep copies.
- Pay the registered company, against a receipt, never a personal account.
- Get everything in writing before paying: the package, the hotels, the
dates, what is excluded, the terms.
The private scheme has 71,684 of the 179,210 seats for 2027, shared among every licensed organiser in the country, which is why private packages close earlier than people expect. More in the Hajj quota for Pakistan.
Which route to register for
That decision comes before this page, not after it. The government scheme is cheaper and takes the larger share; the private scheme costs more and buys shorter distances, smaller groups and somebody responsible for you.
We have set the comparison out in government or private Hajj from Pakistan, and the honest version of where the money goes is in the cheapest way to perform Hajj.
Do not apply to both at once
Treat it as one choice. Two live applications in two places is how people end up with a refund to chase and a seat they did not want.
What registration does not do
Registering does not fix your Mina camp, your hotel or your flight dates. Those come with the package you chose, in the private scheme, or with the allocation in the government one. If they matter to you, they are decided at the point of choosing, not at the point of registering.
If you want help with it
Send us your dates and who is travelling and we will tell you which route suits you, what your file needs, and what is still available on the private side, including when the honest answer is that the government scheme is the better choice for you. Our departures are on the Hajj packages page.
