Umrah booking from abroad with a Pakistani passport
The short answer. Holding a Pakistani passport while living abroad does not complicate an Umrah: there is no quota and no waiting list. What complicates it is logistics, and they are all solvable if they are raised at the start rather than in the final week. This is the order to do things in, and the two questions nobody volunteers: which documents need a physical original, and whether your flights are on one ticket.

Who files the visa, and where, is answered in Umrah packages for overseas Pakistanis. We file from Pakistan, in a number of countries it can also be filed locally, and which suits you depends on where you are resident. This page is the mechanics once that is settled.
Before you contact anybody
Check the passport expiry for every traveller, children included. Operators work to a minimum validity at the time of filing, so a passport with a little time left is the commonest reason a plan has to be rebuilt. If it is close, ask your nearest Pakistani mission how long a renewal is taking for them right now, and plan from that answer rather than from the package.
Start the vaccination that has a waiting period. It is the item that decides whether your dates are possible at all, and it is the one most people discover too late. Umrah health and vaccination requirements.
Make the names agree. Passport, CNIC or NICOP, and NADRA records should spell each name identically. Fixing it first costs nothing. Fixing it after a ticket is issued costs money.
Decide what you are actually buying
Full package, flight included, or land only: the visa, the hotels and the ground arrangements with you buying your own ticket from your own city.
Say which, because the two are not comparable numbers and comparing one against the other is how people conclude an honest agency is expensive.
The document question nobody volunteers
Ask it in the first message: which of these will need a physical original, and which can be a scan?
Scans first, couriers only where something genuinely needs them. The answer is usually short, but discovering it in the last week turns a small item into an emergency, especially across a time zone and a postal service.
Keep copies of everything you send, and note the date you sent it.
The flight question nobody volunteers either
If you are buying your own ticket: is the whole journey on one ticket?
On one ticket a missed connection is the airline's responsibility and your luggage is checked through. On two separate tickets, a delay on the first leg is yours to solve and you may have to collect and re check your bags.
This matters most when you are joining a group in Jeddah or Madinah at a set time. Tell us the flight numbers and the arrival time before you buy, not after.
Who meets you, and where
If you are arriving separately from the group, settle before you pay:
- Who meets you, where exactly, and on whose phone number?
- What is the number to call in Saudi Arabia if nobody is there?
- Does the hotel have your booking under the name as your passport spells it?
Write the answers down and keep them on your phone, not in an email you will not be able to open.
A family travelling from two countries
Parents from Pakistan, children from abroad, everybody wanting the same hotel and the same days. It is one of the commonest things we arrange and one of the least arrangeable late.
Give both sets of dates in the first conversation, and say if the two halves must share a room. Umrah for families and Umrah for elderly pilgrims.
Paying from another country
- To the registered company, against a receipt. Never a personal account,
whatever the reason given.
- Everything in writing first, in one message you keep: hotels by name, the
room, the nights, the exclusions, the cancellation terms. Our terms are on the
cancellation and refunds page.
- The licence checked, not the logo:
how to verify an Umrah travel agency.
Ask us what we can accept from your country before you try to send anything. It is a short answer and it saves a reversed transfer.
Hours, and how we keep in touch
Tell us your city and we will call at an hour that suits you rather than one that suits Karachi. Most of this runs on WhatsApp, which is the honest answer to how you will reach us.
The order, in one list
- Passport expiry, every traveller.
- The vaccination with the waiting period.
- Names matching across documents.
- Decide: full package or land only.
- Tell us your residency, your city and your dates.
- Ask which documents need originals.
- Get the whole thing in one written message, and keep it.
- Pay the company, against a receipt.
- Settle who meets you, where, and on which number.
Ask us
Tell us where you are resident, which documents each traveller holds, where each one flies from and the ages. We will tell you the route, the real travelling day and what the package leaves out. Our departures are on the Umrah packages page.
