How much does Hajj cost from Pakistan?
The short answer. There is no single figure, because the government scheme and the private scheme are priced differently and because almost all of the difference between two private packages comes from four things: the Mina camp category, how far you sleep from the Haram, how many share your room, and the flights. Our own published rates are on this page. They move with the riyal and the airfare, so ask us before you plan around any number.

People asking this question usually want one number, and anybody who gives them one without asking anything first is guessing. What we can do is show you our own published rates, explain exactly what makes one package cost more than another, and tell you what is not in any of them.
Our published Hajj rates
These come straight from what this website publishes, so the page cannot drift away from what the office is actually selling.

These are the rates published on this website, read when the site was last built. They move with the riyal, the airfare and the season. Ask us for today's figure and we will confirm it before you pay anything.
The room rates are per person. The shorter packages are not cheaper because less is included; they are shorter.
What the money is actually buying
In roughly the order of how much of the total each one accounts for:
1. The Mina camp category and where it sits. The largest and least understood line. It decides the walk to the Jamarat and what the tent is like, and it is the difference between a bearable few days and a very hard few days, especially for an older pilgrim. People spend their budget on the Makkah hotel and then take whatever Mina category comes with it, which is spending the money in the wrong place.
2. The distance from the Haram, and the building itself. A tower you can walk back to at two in the morning costs what it costs for a reason.
3. How many people share the room. Look at the table above: the same package, the same hotel, the same everything, and the per-person price changes with the room. This is where a family can make the biggest honest saving.
4. The flights. Direct against one stop, and the dates, which are fixed by the group rather than by you.
5. The length of the package. Fewer nights in the Kingdom costs less, and costs you time in Madinah.
6. The Maktab. Packages are sold under a maktab and they differ.
7. Food, transport inside the Kingdom, and the Munazzim's own fee.
Why we do not print one "Hajj costs X" figure
Three reasons, and none of them is coyness.
The riyal moves. The airfare moves, and a great deal, by season and by how early the group is ticketed. And the Saudi charges that sit inside every package are set there, not here.
A number written into a web page in November is wrong by March and nobody remembers to correct it. The table above is read from what this website publishes each time the site is built, which is the closest thing to honest that a web page can manage. For the figure on the day, ask us.
What is not in any package
Budget for these separately. They are the same whoever you book with:
- Gifts. Almost always the largest unplanned spend, by a distance.
- Taxis taken because somebody is too tired to walk back.
- Extra Ziyarat beyond what the package lists.
- Laundry, phone and data, and anything bought at the airport.
- Excess baggage on the way home, which is really the gifts again.
We write our exclusions out for each departure rather than leaving you to find them. The full list of what tends to be left out of packages generally is in hidden costs in Hajj packages, and how much cash to carry is in how much money should I take for Hajj.
Government scheme or private
The government scheme is the cheaper route and most Pakistani pilgrims use it. The private scheme costs more and buys shorter distances, smaller groups and a named person who is responsible for you. Neither is the right answer for everybody, and we have set the comparison out in government or private Hajj from Pakistan.
If you are at the beginning, the whole process is in Hajj from Pakistan: a complete guide.
How to compare two quotes properly
Put them side by side and ask, for each one: the Mina category, the hotel by name and its distance, how many in the room, direct or one stop, how many nights, and what is excluded. The cheaper one is cheaper somewhere on that list. Once you know where, you are comparing two real things instead of two numbers.
The question list to send to any agency is in what to ask a Hajj agency before booking.
Ask for today's figure
Send us your dates, how many of you are travelling, the ages and the room you want, and we will come back with the current price for that exact combination, with what it includes and what it does not. Our departures are on the Hajj packages page.
