Family Hajj packages in Pakistan
The short answer. A family package is really two decisions: the rooms, which decide the price far more than anything else, and the Mina camp, which decides whether the oldest person in your group manages the hardest days. Tell the organiser the ages and any mobility problem before the package is chosen, because afterwards nothing about Mina can be changed.

Most families going to Hajj are three generations with three different paces, and the package has to work for the slowest one.
The rooms are the price
Look at any package quoted by room and the same hotel, on the same dates, gives a different per-person figure depending on how many share.

These are the rates published on this website, read when the site was last built. They move with the riyal, the airfare and the season. Ask us for today's figure and we will confirm it before you pay anything.
For a family this is the single largest honest saving available, and it costs nothing but closeness. Four or five of you in a quad or a sharing rate against two couples in two doubles is a large difference for an identical journey.
Decide the rooms as a family before you compare any packages, because the figure you are quoted depends entirely on it.
The Mina camp is the journey
Everything else about a family Hajj follows from this. The camp's position decides the walk to the Jamarat, which is repeated, in heat, in crowds, on the days that demand the most.
If anybody in your group is older or not steady on their feet, the camp is where the budget belongs, ahead of the Makkah hotel. Mina camps during Hajj.
Keeping a family together
Ask how many pilgrims are under one group leader, and whether your family will be kept together in the camp and on the buses. This is a reasonable request and a good organiser arranges it.
Agree a separation plan before you land, not after. Hajj separates people: crowds, different paces, different prayer times.
Everyone carries the numbers on paper. The hotel name and address in Arabic, the group leader's number, and the number of somebody at home. Phones die.
Photograph each person each morning in what they are wearing, if children are travelling.
Split the money and the documents. One person holding everything is one lost bag from a bad week.
The oldest person sets the plan
This is the part families resist and then thank us for.
The schedule, the walking and the ambition for extra Ziyarat should be set by whoever finds it hardest. Families who plan around their fittest member arrive at Mina with the oldest exhausted, and Mina is where they needed them strong.
More in Hajj for elderly pilgrims, and where a wheelchair or limited mobility is involved, Hajj for disabled pilgrims.
Children
Hajj with small children is demanding and some families do it well. If you are considering it, speak to us about ages honestly. There are years when the right advice is to wait, and we will give it.
What to tell the organiser, before the package
- Every age in the group.
- How far the oldest can comfortably walk.
- Any heart condition, knee, hip or mobility aid.
- Whether you want to be in the same rooms, or adjacent ones.
- Whether anybody needs help washing or dressing, and who provides it.
A good organiser will change what they are offering you. A salesperson will say it will be fine.
Before you pay
Verify the organiser, and get the rooms, the camp category, the hotels and the exclusions in writing. How to verify a Hajj travel agency and what to ask before booking.
Ask us with the ages
Send us your dates, everybody's ages and any mobility concern, and we will come back with the room combinations and what each costs per person, the camp category we would put your family in, and what we would change. Our departures are on the Hajj packages page.
